Burraton Community Centre
Charity no 300353
BCC
The Burraton Community Centre is located in the center of town on Grenfell Avenue, and has been serving the community at it’s current location since 1961. Previously we were sited off Liskeard Road at Burraton before being relocated to allow developement of Liskeard Road for the road changes due to the building of the Tamar bridge. The BCC and the Tamar road bridge were opened in the same year. The BCC has been a vital part of so many local childhoods and seen those same children through to becoming the more mature residents of Saltash and surrounding areas. We have clubs that are run now by adults that attended those same clubs decades before as children. The Centre now offers such a varied and diverse selection of activities to suite all ages and interests. Check out our What’s On page We are an independent Charity and are run by the community for the community. The building itself was constructed by volunteers and built in three stages. Almost all the labour was given free of charge by a group of Saltash residents. Currently we draw people into Saltash from all regions of Cornwall and a lot of South Devon. The BCC has undergone considerable updates over the last 8 years and is a very popular choice for so many different activities. So why not see if there’s a group that you or someone in your family may enjoy and pop in. Or of course is there a group you always wanted to create?
